Here are some instructions for using the butterfly habitat:

1. Be cautious when opening the large monarch butterfly tents. After removing the elastic strap, the cube cage can unexpectedly pop open. Therefore, make sure you have ample space and keep breakable objects away.

2. When you first open the net cage, you may notice creases on the PVC side due to folding. To remove these creases quickly, use a blow dryer to heat the PVC for approximately 5 minutes, or expose it to warm sunlight to relax the wrinkles.

3. Always remember to close the cage door properly, ensuring that the zippers meet at the top center. This will allow you to unzip the other side if a caterpillar is present on one side.

4. Clean the mesh cage after a disease outbreak or at the end of the season by soaking it in a 5% bleach solution (19 parts water to 1 part bleach) for about 20 minutes. You can soak the cage in a tub or laundry tub.

5. Rinse the butterfly garden with water and let it dry in the sun. Hang it on a clothesline or place a rock on the floor to prevent it from blowing away.

6. When folding the cage for storage, place your hands on the opposite upper corners of the cage and press one corner to fold it flat.

7. Store the cage flat in a closet, under a bed, behind a couch, or any convenient place.
